Now ive been changing bits on my cars for 15 years, but the caddy is the first vehicle ive ever had with a dealer warranty. Mine has 6 months still to run but ive got some wheels and coilovers to go on..
Ive just had my van MOT'd at VW, and there is an issue with my ABS/Traction light randomly coming on during start up. Ive been told to bring it back to VW perhaps for a new ABS Unit but on the 8th Sep. I'd planned to put the wheels and coils on this weekend in prep for for edition 38.
Anyone had issues claiming and dealing with warranty stuff when their van is lowered etc?
help!!

Re: Warranty Problems with a Modified Van..
I've shat myself bout this many times whilst modding my truck....
viewtopic.php?f=13&t=1918" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
but kinda figured that if the mods are considered to affect the thing you need to be sorted then they might get a bit funny - so wheels and brakes may go hand in hand, and changing stuff may cause you some grief - whereas engine fault - can't see how they could claim that your mods would have any effect, having said that it's probably all in the small print of some document somewhere, but in reality - depends what the dealers are like.
I've factored having to do any brake and suspension related stuff at my own cost, but engine, electrics etc i'll still be claiming warranty on...
Would be interested to hear any ones actual experiences too tho....

^^ Well you wont be getting a new axle under warranty!
I had the same feelings. The ABS computer has nothing to do with me changing my wheels so i might ring them first, then crack on with it.
