After changing the resistor 3 times(and cabin filter) the blower settings have failed again.when changing resistor the settings work in all 4.all of a sudden only works on no4.
What you have blown 4 time now is a fuse which ONLY runs the fan motor.
Rather than keep on replacing the fuse, maybe look into why it is blowing, this can only be that the fan motor is drawing more current that designed at the lower speeds.
Lots of people have changed the motor resistor only once and at the same time lubricated the motor bearings leaving the whole system running as it should again.
