I believe the fakra cable you will need is a female to female or just whats known as an extension like this:

Thanks guys much appreciated, the cables from the mirror disappear into the door so they are connected but I suppose the wire will terminate inside behind the door panel somewhere??
Great now I know what to order... Will I need to chop the end off the extension cable and rejoin inside the door??

Ok thanks again, and for the reference thread, my cables are fed through already there's at least 3 of them and seem pretty tight fingers crossed they have a plug on the end somewhere... I am going to order all the parts anyway so when I get my door cards trimmed I will do the whole lot at the same time..
Cheers

Never had any signal loss issues and I've been pretty much everywhere with that set up.
I've just bought a Alpine DAB, upgrading from Alpine FM. I was getting crap reception with FM, could barely get any stations.
Can you point me in the direction of the splitter you bought please?
