I would love to fit this to mine in the future so anyone posting experience of it working would be great.

Yeah, think this is a fantasy...

Need (at least):

Six buttons on left of Steering Wheel-including coding;
Tandem master cylinder with all sensors(?);
Brake servo(?);
Front bumper modification;
Radar sensor and ACC module.
(Compatible) engine control unit correctly coded

Kufatec do a retrofit kit for Golf 7 for 1000EUR, which probably contains the sensor, ACC module and wiring harnesses:

https://www.kufatec.com/en/volkswagen/v ... lf-7-40857

AFAIK the only user that got this working was on a Touran (spacewalker), you can read about that here. MartyPL got adaptive lighting retrofitted, which is obviously a completely different thing.

It seems that Kufatec is offering this as a retrofit for Caddy (Mk4 only) now. Only catch is they won't supply the kit, only fit it, so you'll need to drive to Germany. Maybe once they've done a few they'll make a kit:

I just checked that link from 'Kufatec' and it seems they offer UK delivery - but it states there's no instructions.

They offer two products, depending on if you have a MFSW already.
Under 'Scope of Delivery' they say the 'Radar' is included together with 'Cables', 'Radar Holder' and MFSW buttons (if you chose 'NO MFSW')

It mentions 'Stop and GO' can only operate on DSG which makes sense for Automatics - but I guess it works like Cruise control on a manuals (prompting to change gear if the speed changes are too great).

Hope this helps

Also,

I have a MK4 Caddy Maxi 2017 with 'Front Assist'. I've upgraded to a new MFSW and Highline instrument cluster amongst other things - but does anyone know if I could get this kit and swap out the radar (subject to getting the licenses sorted) and have Adapted Cruise control working like that?

The more advanced stuff like 'Stop N Go' that works with automatic transmissions needs the ABS control unit replacing - but because I've got a manual transmission (so I can't have 'Stop N Go') and have already upgraded to a MFSW and Highline instrument cluster, mean, I could get away with just changing the Radar?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated :D :D :D

So I sent a VCDS scan to Kufatec to confirm the ACC kit is compatible with upgrades I’ve done so far to my 2017 Caddy, and… Yes! They are!

But - since I’ve got the MFSW fitted and do not need housing/brackets for the radar (as I’ve already got the radar ‘Front Assist’) I’m thinking why is it over £1k if they’re just sending me the radar which I could pick-up for far less?

Also, need to take it to someone after fitting to sort the ‘Component Protection’ and sensor calibration, then use some software (flexihub) to allow Kufatec to remotely perform an initial system startup.

I’ll see if finances will allow - try and get this mini project going and give an update. *wish me luck 🍀

I was looking into this a while ago, but decided it's a bit pointless with manual gear box.
However, if you want to retrofit this function, our Caddy requires Component Protection and SWaP/FEC license for ACC to work. I believe you don't need anything else from Kufatec as long as you have ACC steering wheel. Maybe worth giving a call to these guys https://www.vw-retrofit.co.uk/product/f ... grade-kit/ seems like they have done some in the past.

Cheers Giddy,

I’ve given them a call before and they haven’t done it for a Caddy. I called just now to check and they mostly do the Front Assist to ACC for the Skoda Kodiaq apparently.

I told them I provided a VCDS scan to Kufatec and although Kufatec say it’s possible it seems this is a UK first for the Caddy. So far it seems Kufatec’s ACC Kit with dongle would be the best way forward still.

Will post more info by next week, fingers crossed 🤞

Thanks Spacewalker!

Any info would be greatly appreciated - I’m looking to get hold of a replacement radar unit with help from a friend and looking into updating the MFSW. I just have to pay for it all installing a 4K CCTV system for his work and home

Will upload images when I can.
