Rear door opening from inside

Have you tried Volkswagen Commercial or Volkswagen?
I wouldn’t of thought there’s anywhere else other than Vw or eBay.

They’re about £80 on eBay now, just wondered if anyone had found a decent aftermarket one for less

Pretty certain VW commercial will be the same price or less! I bought mine from VW last year for around £55 all in. It worth giving them a call.

Will do this conversion, always handy to open rear doors from inside.

Definitely doing this to my tailgate model, got it a week ago and today I'm pulling bits off the inside to see how it all works together and where I go from here

I did it using a dog lead for £1.50 from The Range and two cable ties. Works well, I filed down the inside of the door panel to help the lead fit out at the top rather than being pinched between the panel and the metal of the door.

I'll be doing the same this weekend, just adding a simple lanyard for if I want to pop the rear door open from the inside. Nothing fancy needed for me

Yeah I used an old leather belt and a couple of zip ties for my barn doors too, just cut a small section out of the door card so it can move and I've never looked back.

Also already had everything i needed so was essentially free too 😁
