Armrest
Good evening I have a 2016 caddy and want a centre armrest the after market ones which I’ve had in previous caddy’s don’t apparently fit any suggestions ?

Would a centre console from a 2016 touran not fit as they do ok the older caddy’s?

Re: Armrest
2016 Touran is the 5T model which has a totally different interior.
The 2003-2015 Touran armrest centre console fits the Caddy4 but the plastics on the older ones is a lighter colour.

Re: Armrest
could you cut the touran console close to the arm rest and attach it to the caddy mk4 console ? so that the joint is hidden by the seats?

Re: Armrest
Thanks I’ll take a look. As regards mirror I’ve read the noise will stop if I use tape or sealant behind and round the cover. Van is still under warranty and surely if it’s a known fault vw should rectify it ? Joking aside it’s unbearable at motorway speeds

Re: Armrest
its the gap between the front and back halves of the mirror between the mirror and the door so the gap between the door and the mirror at the joint if you cover the gap with tape and go for a drive you will see what the problem is i ended up sealing it with sealant to seal the gap and prevent the whistle

There is a how to on this site. It’s the best mod I’ve done so far. Was so annoying and an easy fix.
I used a thin piece of double sided foam backing tape. If you have something similar like gasket tape or even a foam draught excluder cut to the right size will do the job.

Re: Armrest
had this same issue and tried the felt in the gap and it didnt cure it to my total frustration but i kept putting electrical tape on and taking it for a drive until it stopped
i eneded up using black sealant arount the gap between the mirror and the front plastic trim and its now cured the whistle
see pics
taped this piece up as i was still getting a whistle
taped this bit and the whistle stopped so this was the problem on my mirror not the lower piece
ran some black sealant around it and havent had a whistle since
