Drone in the cab a 1.6 tdi 2013

Post by PODFORD »

Bought a ex gas caddy back February and it's always droned when you turned of the ingtion for 10 seconds or so. Didn't worry me, imagine it was something electronic just slowly turning off, reseting or something...

Now after it's gone through its first quick service with me in a garage the drone now happens when I accelerate.

Anyone know what these drone noise are?

Seems to come out the left side, glove box area. Doesn't seem to be associated with the ac system as it's still there when it's off.

Yeah, I get that in my 2011 ex gas van. No idea what it is or where it’s coming from. I also get what sounds like windscreen wipers moving over a dry screen for a brief second sometimes. I’ve no idea what that is either. All happens in a second after turning my ignition off.

Hmmm. Maybe something about the battery isolator system they put in if its not usual caddy issue.
