Manual to electric windows (2009-2011)
So I have a 2009 caddy and have got myself 2011 door cards and electric windows. Also got the additional power cable I believe I need. So I tried to install this myself but all went down hill when I realised the plug in the pillar is totally different to the plug on the electric windows. So now I'm stuck and unsure what to do! Any ideas? Do I need to change the plug in the pillar?

Welcome to the forum.
Fair play for getting stuck into a conversation job without the forum access to read the how to thread on this subject.
Essentially, you need to add the wire from the fuse box to the pillar sockets, fit the motors and the door cards and you're done.
You shouldn't be using the loom from the pillar to the motor/control module on any conversion.

Thanks for the reply mate, managed to get that far just from this forum and a little bit of YouTube haha. So do I just take the motor off the window regulators I've bought and put it on the ones already on the van? And add the extra power cable?
So this is what I bought

Yep, simple as that.
Your 2009 should have the wire from the A-pillar to the door module. Just gotta add it from the A-pillar socket to the cabin fuse panel.

Ah you make it sound so easy! But that makes a lot more sense, just had a quick look at the motor. Doesn't look to hard to swap over. Is there a specific pin for the new power cable? I'll have a good look at it this weekend

Yes, the position you need to fill on the socket is the one with the extra wire in the plug.
Red wire with yellow trace if I remember correctly.
Post some photos, I'm sure you can get help and maybe help others along the way.

Ah thank you, appreciate the help! Was just going to take it to an auto electrician. I'll take some photos and post them once I've took the door apart

Re: Manual to electric windows (2009-2011)
So I have managed to Install the electric windows, had to add an additional wire to power the windows.... Now I'm having issues with the central locking.
Does this need to be coded in due to being a different door card and loom? Is this something I can do on a OBD11
