I think my gearbox is shot - it won't go into reverse reliably - was going to sell the van for spares but had a change of heart...
Can anyone recommend the best part number of gearbox to put in please? The wife has a touran 1.6tdi ( same engine) 6 speed and it drives alot quicker -
Don't want to put 6 speed in unless I can source all the bits needed so was wondering if anyone knows which gearbox will fit and be suitable?

Is it crunching? It may be somthing easier to replace or fix than swapping the box.
