done mine that way, plenty of filler primer and prep work for a smooth finish; pics to follow soon

I think it depends on the color
because i found the red one ugly ....

I've been humming and harring about getting mine done (silver) and I'm still not sure. I'd rather go for a new bumper (GTI style) and paint that. I did think that the silver might look rubbish.

I think if it was black like the above caddy with the GTI look front, it looks nice.

Can someone tell me if the red trim is painted on, or is it a stick on plastic/rubber one

I would personally leave all the grill part unpainted... looks more defined.
