I’m not a fan of air on the 2k Pat to be honest, i prefer static for handling especially now that its 4 motion

I am however thinking of air ride for my mk1 pick up which will be nice i think

I was only joking bud....its gonna be absolutely awesome with the flared arches...! I know you'll make it look 'right'!

As well as the red one, I've seen a black (I think) one with an Audi front end, but with flared arches......love it!

Too much to say in a text really buddy but the best advice I could offer is source a donor car so that you have everything you need for the job. The engine and box, whether manual or dsg drops straight in, more wiring required and another ecu for your dsg but all doable mate. Most difficult job for me is wiring, but if you’re patient, you could do it with an Elsawin program. I had a LOT of help on this though!

Buying a donor car, like i have done with an R32 and the R36 project means you have everything required, tried and tested before you start. Nothing more disheartening than finding things don’t work or there are errors after you’ve fitted everything. I bought a nice low mile fsh Audi 3.2 Quattro for the job. You then have the benefit of fitting all the brakes and cast alloy subframe and lower arms. No brainer!

For detailed questions more than happy to help any time mate

@hef355 I thought I’d use my first post to say how amazing I think your Caddy is :D

Been following many Caddy owners on Instagram for a while including yourself, I have finally found my way to caddy2k.

Currently don’t have a Caddy, I have a 69 plate Polo GTI which I Love ❤️ But have a real itch for a caddy with an EA888and DSG, would love 4 motion but think it a bit beyond my skill set. Wiring is no issue 🤓

Hopefully I’ll get to scratch my caddy itch soon 🤪

stunning looking van, love that you took it to the next level by sticking in the R36 lump.

(sorry if you've already answered these), how do you find the weight on the front end with the V6 in? Was it always going to be a 4 motion project or did you consider running it FWD only?

Cheers
