I installed a VW Sleeve Warning Lamp 1K0919238A in the drivers doorcard to replace the bulb the alarm installer installed. Much more neater looking now.

Multi color ignition key bezel light ring installed now with stan-the-man loom. Stan is a genius, thanks to his loom it turms ice white when i unlock/ open the door and red when I turn on the ignition. Really missed this feature, just need the Caddy2K keyring now.

Those colour changing lights and ignition ring look the biz!

I’m thinking of installing some door lever recess lights, mines a mk3 though. How did you go about it?

Thanks Swan, stan really is the man.

For the door handle lights I connected them to the 32 pin connector in my door control module, +ve is pin 17 and -ve is pin 19.

Ahh ok mate, thankyou. It doesn’t sound like it’s massively difficult then (that’s always good when it comes to me and modding )

I’ll try find out if the 10-15 caddy is the same as yours, and I’ll be tapping up Stan again, as you say, he is the man!

Hi Swan,

Yes it fairly straight forward. For the door handle lights you don't need a stan-the-man loom. Stan made the looms for the footwell lights and the illuminated key ring. For the door handle lights I picked up a set of 4B0972623 connectors on ebay that came with wiring and pins. There is a bit of cutting the door card to make the LED's fit and then a dab of Tiger Seal to hold the LED in place. I'm pretty sure it will work on your Caddy also, but maybe check your door control module to make sure you have those pins in the 32 pin connector.

Cheers for the tip mate. I’m sure I can sort that out. I did have a quick poke about on eBay before for lights, but will need to look again when I get more time.

Just catching up on this, looking really nice inside now. I think I’ll have to get myself one of those ignition rings , do you have a part number for it?

My Pleasure Swan. Just so you know, while they are noticeable they don't emit a lot of light.

Hi Lister, thank you. You might recognize some of the ideas as I got them from you :D . For the light ring I had to join a website in Japan, its like the Japanese ebay. Its called Zen market, here is a link to the key rings https://zenmarket.jp/en/yahoo.aspx?q=AX-IR01. You have to put a bid on it and to do that you have to top up your account. Once you win the auction you will have to top up your account again for shipping from the Seller to the Zen Market warehouse and the top it up again to ship from Zen Market warehouse to your address. Shipping was very fast, I had mine with-in a week.

Hi Barneymk4,

I didn't install it myself, I had a body shop do it. You should check out form member Giddy's detailed post on what is involved with the installation viewtopic.php?t=43178&start=15
