Re: Toffee delights
Thanks mate. Yeah It’s a weekend away, always nice to get out and about and talk to people. I’m not liking the amount of washing though
as you know to minimize swirls I generally don’t wash it.

Toffee delights
In real genuine shock at the minute, the van has been awarded a top 10 place at the StillStatic “Got the Drop” show. Without a doubt some of the highest standard of cars the van has been judged against. So happy right now.

Re: Toffee delights
Suit your van spot on. I think they’d look out of place on mine though.
On the other hand, a one off design will have everyone gawping at them. And for you, even more proud of them as you designed them yourself. Which adds something else too.
Bet it’s brilliant answering those questions. ‘What wheels are them m8?’
‘Mine’ ‘I designed them’

Re: Toffee delights
I always enjoy the "how much did you spend on the wheels? Bet it was over a £1k" conversation...............
Great to see the Caddy getting the recognition it deserves. Quality is quality regardless of what vehicle it is and has been mentioned already, yours can hold its own against anything, in fact it would win outright if the judges took the time to look over it and read through this thread to see how much you've done yourself and to the level you've achieved.
Have you had it ceramic coated? I know its made huge difference to my vehicles as to how easy to clean they are and not have to do too much physical washing to get the dirt off, plus I can highly recommend if you have it coated a BigBoi air blower as it makes it so easy to dry (including areas that trap water like door shuts and wheels). It does work on uncoated paintwork but it just takes a lot longer. I just wish they had a battery version for shows.

Re: Toffee delights
Cheers Dan, whilst I know it’s a decent van I think it sometimes comes as a shock as I’m probably used to shows from the 90’s when cars were actually scored, so when I’m going round a show I always compare like that, plus I’m perhaps a bit critical on myself.
Yeah I had it ceramic coated last year, although I can’t image there is much of the coating left as I’ve done it a few times with micro cut since.
One of my mates actually dropped me off his blower last week to try (can’t remember the brand but it was a big blue one). It was a good piece of kit, very useful for around the lights, windows and side rail cover.
