Oxford based newbeee

Post by Jonno80 »

Hi all

Been on here a few days now and have got some great ideas for my new (to me) van

I'm planning slightly lowering it (needed for work) so only about 45mm

My question is does anyone know a good company in Oxfordshire to do this. There are plenty of local garages round here but would feel more comfortable having someone who's done a caddy before.

Thanks in advance

Hi mate thanks fir the reply

So because I will be carrying a bit of weight I'm thinking only a small drop on 18s

What are my options? Can I get away with just springs and "flipping the axel" not really sure what this means but I understand it gives you a drop with no other parts needed?

What sort if cost am I looking at?

Thank you in advance

Welcome mate

Gibbo's the man he's a vag tech

If your dropping then just springs on front is fine
You may be better off going the mk5 coil over kit then selling the rears as you don't need them
You'll have to get a flip kit from dark side developments well worth it
I'm running 18's and mine is used as a works van I've got the ultra low kit
And set at 1 below highest on rear and its fine for me but my side bars cause the issue

Happy to fit a flip kit and coil overs or springs but I don't stock them as jas said springs on front will drop front 45 mm then can set the rear as needed.
or buy a v max kit and we can put it to the height you want :-)

I think my budget (for now) wont stretch to v-maxxs,so I will order up my wheels , flip kit and front springs and ill contact you when I've got it all together and we can go from there,
