Went to see Matt today, great workshop there, with a rather nice car sitting next to your van, yup the black one :)..

Van is looking sweet, can wait to see it finished..

Matts work is second to none, good to see proper panel beating these days..

No mate.
Claire has got us an 8 week old black lab so its home for lunch and straight home after work.
Can't wait for the weekend so i can crack on.
Still looking to tax at the end of the month though ;)

I had a bit of time to make a start on the Touran mirror conversion today so this should answer any questions about them being a straight forward swap.

The red dots are where the holes need to be.

I then had to weld a couple of washers/spacers to make the mirror sit right.

As you can see the caddy door is completely different to the Touran one and the mirror base is much smaller.

I then cut some bits of plastic from some old damaged Caddy mirrors and bonded them on to the Touran mirrors.

Next i will strengthen the joint with fibre glass matting and then blend the outside and re-texture.
I will then have nice fully working Touran mirrors withe working flashers becase i dont have thenm in the wings now.

So the mirror swap isn't really an easy mod then :lol:

We have a textured paint system.
Its in rattle cans so good for diy. I'll get some more info for you ;)
