Ya I put in touran bases though. Any vw seat 04 on will fit with theae

But it really depends on type of aircon, and what other heaters you have. All the variants are listed here (30):

Thanks I actually got sorted a while back got a unit new from a German breakers that was originally from a caddy so no rear window demister

OK. ...
I have Mk5 golf seats,
I've ground the locator bolts off
But the bolt holes on the rail seem wider than the standard caddy Base threaded holes.
Am I being dense (as it's stupidly late to be doing this type of work ) or do I need to drill 4 new holes in the basement?
I don't want touran bases as these seats already have storage compartments.

they've probably spread a little mine where the same, they'll pull back and you'll only need to drill 2 new holes

Make sure both rails are the same distance in front/behind. The run independent of each other when out of the car.
