Just read this start to finish... is the general consensus that Touran bases are the ones to go with for non modified fitting?
I like the idea of the Touran seats as doesn't the passenger fold flat? Then I can get long lengths up the passenger side onto dash - van is for windsurfing,
Are those seats from a Touran mounted on a Caddy? How? The touran I checked has seat mounting points closer to each other (and 4 mounting points), the caddy has 3 only. I would love to know because this is my main concern now and knowing a solution will get my wife to agree for me to buy the Caddy instead of a Touran! I would be thankful if anyone gave me useful information because I have option to buy the last remaining Caddy in stock by Monday next week or I end up with a Touran...not a bad car BUT the caddy is just so much more spacious, etc. and cool
Well so there's a lot of conflicting info in this thread lol
I've just bought front seats out of a 2010 Passat R Line, I feel the standard seats are too high and would like to feel like I'm sitting in the van and not on top!!!
I take it these seats will bolt straight in at the front and require the 2 rears bolts be drilled? Is there any need to swap over to the Caddy bases??
If you simple buy seats from a Passat with rails already attached they will fit but will be to low?
