My Caddy 4, 1.4 TSI, Acapulco blue
Ok, so first things first. It's a 1.4 TSI, manual, highline. I've been driving it for about 6 months now and have to say, I'm pretty happy with it. It's my daily driver and a very practical vehicle for my mountain biking/outdoor days. I'm not in any trade, so not carrying any heavy load.
Finally decided to create this build thread to keep the track of my mods, show what I've done, get some advice, help and suggestions. Hope you'll find it useful too.
Done so far:
* Undertray
* Soundproofed cabin roof and floor + fitted oem carpets behind the seats
* Soundproofed and carpeted all the back
* Tinted barn door windows and added sun strip to the windscreen
* OEM tinted tail lights and tinted 3rd brake light
* Rear wiper deleted
* Lowered with AP coilovers + changed all rear bushes to Poweflex bushes
* Whiteline rear ARB
* Heated TTRS seats, fully wired and working
* Rail cover + colour coded plastic trim above number plate
* Full 'black cabin' conversion completed
* Polo GTI MFSW with gloss black trim
* 2Forge 18" wheels + Michelin Premacy4 tyres
* Caddy "Alltrack" front spoiler
* Modified CSR roof spoiler
* Touran armrest, re-trimmed in black leather with red stitch
* Power fold mirrors with puddle lights
* Motexion bulkhead
* OEM Bi-xenon headlights
* 4 piston callipers and 2 piece discs front and rear.
* RacingLine wheel stud conversion
Future plans:
* Wheel arch trims + side skirts
* OEM dashboard trims
The first week of owning it, all still standard. First thing I've done is fitted the perspex sheets to the mesh bulkhead, to cut the noise down. Made quite a bit of difference I have to say. Then fitted the undertray to keep the engine bay clean.

Sound deadened and fitted the OEM carpets behind the seats. This further reduced the road noise by a bit.
Started sound deadening the back. Applied 2mm Silent Coat sheets to the single skin side panels, roof and floor, 3mm sheets to the wheel arches. Need to carpet next.
Fitted oem tinted tail lights.

Lowered with AP coilovers. The rear is on the lowest setting, but the front still can go about 3cm down. May need to get a superlow shackles from Darkside, as I still want to go a little bit lower

I know it's a bit of a boring question but what sort of mpg are you getting with your van ? I'm looking to buy another caddy and given the current downer the powers that be have towards diesel vehicles I'm looking at all options but trying to make an informed choice.

Around 39mpg mate, but it's crazy hills around here and I drive mostly on B roads. Once on motorway it's over 50mpg.

That's actually a bit better than I thought it would be, I did look at the official figures but they should come with the required pinch of salt

Bit the bullet and picked up these beauties the other day. Decent condition, manually adjusted with electric lumbar and heated. Ordered new heating control panel with heated seat buttons, still looking for heater module. Also started looking into what's required to fully wire them in.
