It may not be as bad as it looks. A decent body shop should be able to pull out the sill but a new or a decent second hand sliding door will be required although the existing sliding door may not be beyond repair by a decent dent removal person. Yes we know that they wont get it totally back to normal but nearer enough and a little bit of surface filler, respray and it should be right. We all feel your pain mate.

yeah im taking it to the cheeper one tomorrow he thinks he can pull the sill but might need to drill holes to get the rods behind then fill, he dosent seem botherd about the door as it opens and closes perfect.

Bad times! That £370 sounds like a decent quote so with the money you saved from the other one you may as well treat yourself to some new alloys at the same time

Did a bit of fettling.... after buying three different sets of centre caps, none of which fitted, I bastardised my plain ones. Cut and sanded flat the vw ones and epoxy’d then to the plain ones.

I also primed, painted and lacquered my new rail cover.... shown here before lacquer. It’s now had theee coats, and I’ll attempt to fit it tomorrow
