Hello all. Have a problem with my Caddy 4 that my barn doors are showing as open when they are closed. Seen problem about side door sensor on the forum - not sure it’s this.
Side door is showing ok on dash. Showing open when open and showing closed when closed.
Just back doors that are playing up. The van still locks but lights remain on.
Any help would be great, thanks

Re: Barn door problem
A few people have had problems with rear doors recently, seems the lower latch gets moisture in and then the switch fails.

Re: Barn door problem
It's in the big door, the switch is part of the latch, I don't think it's available separately.
You can just unplug it and it'll show as shut full time.

Re: Barn door problem
If you want to have it working as it should, then there are two part numbers for the Caddy 4 bottom latch. 2K0827505J 9B9 and 2K0827505L 9B9, I think the difference is in the connector shape, but might be more than that. Pop over to your local VW and they will know which one you need by your VIN. They are not expensive, in region of £20-25.
Re: Barn door problem
Got it sorted guys. Took Doc’s advice of moisture and used some tetra action blaster to disperse anything lurking in the catch. Back to working order. Thanks again
