Post by John M »

So Ive been to a pals garage and he hooked up to VCDS, tried to follow the how to bit on here but my 2014 highline had different codes, anyhoo upshot is I now have TPMS on my display but I can't store the tyre pressures.

Long code should be ending in 22. Look at this post for details:

viewtopic.php?f=22&t=19522

*DO NOT* copy the long coding from there verbatim. You'll need to pay attention to which bytes need to be changed, and change those on your module.

Assume your abs unit does support tpms??
Rear ended and killed  1.9 TDi DSG indian blue wrapped in slightly darker blue lol, now replaced with a new Highline 1.6 TDi DSG bit naked without the logos yet - rather fun but not quite my Audi S4, but makes me smile as much as my 2.6e 80 Cabriolet!!

Im not sure, I was led to believe if its a Highline fully specced van it would. It does show up just not storing tyre pressures.

A highline van is a specification given by the importer, it does not necessarily mean all the modules within are highline.

Have you followed the how-to on this subject?

Clearly not. Long coding is incorrect.

I didn't follow it fully no, the guy I know wasn't sure as the posters long code and mine started and continued very differently so the mechanic decided to follow his VCDS machine guidance.

Unsurprisingly, it won't work unless you code it properly. Instructions are pretty clear, mechanic must not be very skilled with VCDS, suggest you find someone who is able to follow those instructions (assuming you don't have VCDS and/or are not able yourself). Obviously one doesn't copy the coding verbatim as is mentioned both in this and the original thread, one follows the instructions for modifying the coding...
