Re: SWB - Blackberry
Let me know if they do have one for the sliding door, I'd very much be tempted!

Will do, there’s a couple of other parts I need as well, hoping they have a mk5 in the showroom to have a look at. Want to see one in the flesh

Re: SWB - Blackberry
Wheels on, now it needs another touch from the lowering stick!
Couldn't decide between gunmetal or silver. After seeing it now, I think the silver would've looked better, but I prefer the gunmetal being a bit more subtle.

Looking Good @BenXCIV
You'll have to tell us how you get on with the ride ?
I'm downsizing from 19's, I've just got a set of 8Jx18's (245/40/18 Bridgestone's) myself, and will be fitting them next week after mine has its first MOT on Friday

Re: SWB - Blackberry
Cheers pal, slowly getting there!
What's the reason for downsizing, comfort?
I didn't know 245's were really an option for 8j
I'm not really a fan of the stretch tyre look - after getting 225's on mine, I'm definitely getting 235's next time... or maybe 245's now I know they fit

Re: SWB - Blackberry
Don’t think they look too stretched buddy I’m running 225 PS4s on 8.5j and reckon that’s probably the limit of stretch I’d want to go too. Think the gunmetal was a good choice!

Re: SWB - Blackberry
Comfort really I think mate
The reason I’ve got the 245’s Ben was they were on the Audi Alloys I bought.
they’re brand spanker Bridgestone’s, personally I probably would have bought 235/40/18’s as they would only have changed my current wheel diameter from 647.1mm to 645.2mm (0.29% Speedo error) whereas on the 245/40/18 it’s changing it from 647.1mm to 653.2 which is a 0.93% speedo error. I can live with that
Although worth remembering that originally my Van from new came with 6x17” Alloys ET50 running 205/50/17’s (so it’s actually a 2.5% error)

Re: SWB - Blackberry
Cheers Guy, maybe I should look on the lighter side - it gives me more room for extra lows!
My stock alloys were 195/65/15, so I've done the same Ripley - 634.5mm up to 637.2mm (-0.42% speedo error)
235's will make mine even worse at -1.66% speedo error

Re: SWB - Blackberry
Fit a Touran/Life centre console arm rest. Seems to be leaning slightly more towards the drivers seat, but only barely enough to make the seat occssionally rub.
Never been happy with the grey cab interior, so tried my hand at spraying/dying it to match the lower trims.
I followed a post on here for details - colour match is good but it doesn't seem overly scratch resistant to be honest.. maybe I should've top-coated it with something?
I'll likely get the pillars & shelf flocked eventually anyway.

Re: The blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice.
Upgraded to the Whiteline rear ARB.
Not sure I had too much issue with roll, being a SWB, but can't hurt can it
I've also just seen darkside sell a front strut brace.. another upgrade that probably won't do much, but is an easy bolt on.. so might as well?
Wasn't sure which end was soft/stiff when first installing it, I've since relocated to the 1st (stiffest) hole.
After seeing one of their old YouTube videos, I was surprised to learn that this rollbar is technically 25mm when set-up using the stiffest hole.

Almost finished with the interior.
Trimmed the door inserts and fit satin chrome golf mk7 handles, window switches, light switch and handbrake button.
Swapped the seats out for leather/Alcantara/fabric Scirocco heated seats on touran bases.

Re: SWB - Blackberry
Do you have a link or part numbers for the bulbs and rear interior light? Some lovely little mods on this !

Re: The blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice.
I think I ordered the rear light from here;
https://provanled.com/product/provan-60 ... AcQAvD_BwE
For the standard front light you need;
2× T10 501 W5W and 1× C10W 578
If you've upgraded to the W8 light, it's just;
4× T10 501 W5W.
This is the kit I originally bought,
