Quick question is this standard as its only located on left side and there's a few drilled holes on the metal that don't look factory?

Pretty sure it’s standard mate as I painting the metal trim last week, the holes are smooth an can tell it’s been painted after they got put in there

Ah I see cheers for clearing that up John 👍 was this hole I tought was maybe DIY job but that's all good then

That black box is definitely not a module I've seen fitted before.
The wiring coming through at the threshold is also not factory looking.

ah so I took the rear door trim off just there and had a look as the cable runs below it so I believe it is for the tow bar light socket 😂 mystery solved... i think
