I agree with lockstock as well I know a few people with t4 have the actual glass windows bonded to the rear to complete the look but without actually cutting them out whether that can still be done on a caddy I'm not sure but what I can see of yours it looks a tidy job you will probably get used to it in a few days and leave it as it is

I've put the rear window on my T5, a little tip is to paint behind where the glass is going black, up to the real window, you then can't really tell that its not a "window"

Replaced barn door aperture seal (ordered from tps).
Noticed I had a clonking noise from one of the rear door latches so removed them,decreased and swapped side to side, to see if the latch was faulty.
No issues so far, mounting bolts didn't seem overly tight though.

Continue with lining out the back of the van today . Well happy how it’s come out so far . Just need to cover the infill panels . Then on to the floor not sure what I’m going to do there yet

What did I do today (and yesterday and most days for a few weeks)? Went through all 956 pages of this thread! Thanks to you guys, my wallet is now a little lighter with all of your tips/tricks/ideas!
I've been very slack updating my build thread here, but will get onto it. I've been lazy and updated instagram only. On the final stretch (installed roof rails, cross bars and awning recently), but still a fair bit of work to go.

@Ryzar1
That whole wheel well should be done in one peice with 4 way stretch carpet. Where did you get your carpet. if it has limited/not 4 way stretch, you will have real problems. I'm sure you have, but check on youtube, some excellent video guides.
Don't lose faith, you learn from first attempt, and next will be better

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Well the carpet was meant to be 4 way stretch I might have to go back to where I bought and say this isn’t 4 way carpet it won’t stretch at all

Re: What did you do to your van today?
4 way stretch isn't stretchy like elastic. but when you pull in each direction it will mould/deform without changing its regularity and appearance. Like in the youtube video. if it will only deform 'stretch in one direction, but is tight, like a piece of denim in the direction 90 degrees to this, then it isn't 4 way stretch and may be some form of interior or acoustic carpet.

Updated the Discover Media HU software. A bit nerve wracking but did it without bricking it!
. No obvious functionality changes, but it seems to have improved dab... possibly...
Also managed to clear Installation confirmation error with vcds.. happy days
