Heater control panel queries

I’m looking to get my heated seats wired in soon and want to keep it as OEM as possible. I have mk5 gti heated leather’s but no harness as of yet. I’m going to need a heated seat heater control panel and I was wondering if one out of a MK6 gold would do the trick. Has anyone got any experience with this. Part numbers are very different.

My caddy controls are identical in appearance to the golf ones I have been looking at minus the heated seat buttons. The block connectors on the back also have the same pins. Just the part numbers are different.
