Budapest alloys

Post by DG15 Caddy »

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if it’s possible to purchase one Budapest alloy?
I’m after one for a spare wheel.

Thanks in advance

Hi, welcome to the forum.
Parts are generally sold by VW in single item form to aid the repair industry. A call to your local VW parts department will tell if the wheel you require is still available.
As a rule, a part such as an alloy wheel will be continued for around 5 years after it has finished being used in production. Some specific parts that do not have a viable alternative are kept for 15 years.

They're still showing on the parts database. As Doc says, give your local parts dept a call - I believe all VW parts depts can now order commercial stuff whereas it was only the commercial dealers that could.

I'm hoping for your sake the prices you get are better than the database is quoting - £519 each.

You might be better off finding a 2nd hand one and having it refurbed.
