Good to hear you’re happy with the paint job mate as I remember you saying you were worried about how it would turn out. Many more trophies to come methinks!

Toffee delights
Made a start sorting the van out over the weekend. Gave it a proper clean then fit the rear bumper trim and protector, B-post trims, door trims and wing mirrors.
I can’t fit the front bumper yet as I’m waiting for a new headlight to come so I can swap the lenses over. I did try rubbing it down and re-lacquering it to remove the damage caused by the roof tile, but the clarity just wasn’t the same as the original, so bit the bullet. As I had to strip the drivers headlight down (to change the lens), I decided to strip them both and paint the internal light brows brown, got the passenger light all back together ready to fit.
I also started making some Carbon fiber mudflaps from some 2mm Sparco rally flaps and 0.25mm Flexible Carbon Fibre sheet. I also removed the rear badge. Air filter bracket and windscreen wiper trim ready to start skinning them in Carbon.
Parts installed

Passenger Headlight finished

Re-lacquered lens on right (hard to tell on photo)

Thank you.
Still waiting on the headlight, so assembled the front bumper with all the freshly carbon skinned parts. I then cleaned up the rear suspension and brakes, replaced the rear leaf grease nipples and fit my new rear mudflaps.

Re: Toffee delights
Showing the bumper in the sun with the new carbon accents really demonstrates the colour depth of the Toffee colour, and against some colours the carbon doesn't look great, but really lends well to that colour.

It’s looking awesome man, blown away with your carbon skills, so many really awkward shapes you’ve done. Id be up on that roof nailing every tile down!

Thanks all
Yeah due to the weather we see, the main tiles are all nailed, the ridge tiles are now clip and pinned on, instead of cemented. Hopefully I won’t have anymore issues (unless a tile breaks)

Re: Toffee delights
Thanks Sean/Steve, much appreciated.
Got the wiper trim, badge and air filter housing bracket lacquered tonight. Also got the Headlight lens swapped over from the new lamp. Didn’t feel right pulling a brand new genuine headlight apart, but needs must.
Lacquered

In work

Nearly got the van all built up and back to standard, got it all polished but ran out of time to give it a layer of wax. Interior and front suspension/wheel arches are still to clean, I’ll do these when I swap the wheels over through the week. Then the carbon alternator cap and carbon cable tray to come from Mr Carbon to complete the engine bay.
Really happy with how it’s turned out. It’s took a lot of hours and a small amount of grief from the wife for taking over the utility room, which isn’t a workshop apparently, but it’s definitely been worth it. Just a shame my rubbish phone photos don’t do it justice.
(Battery box still removed).

All the little details on this are just insane, I wish I had your eye for such details and your dedication to perfection.
I'm just happy running my van as it was since I did the conversion.

Thanks both.
Carbon isn’t too bad, there’s a few bits where I struggled with the weave direction etc so in no way perfect, but I’m happy enough and I’ve enjoyed learning something new.
I don’t know how you can say you don’t Doc, your van is a perfect OEM example, exactly as it would be if it came direct from the factory. As you know I always like a good look over it whenever I get chance.
