So I’ve cleaned the back of the block with brake cleaner and I’ll monitor to see if the leak if totally fixed. I had a suspicion the right gear box seal was leaking but could also have been oil from the rear of the rocker cover. Fingers crossed it’s fully fixed. Worst case it’s another job for me to tackle in the future along with having the manifold and turbo off the clean those out.
What did you do to your van today?

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Started to leak hunt. Rear of the block and sump was wet with oil so while doing an oil change I had the sump off and resealed it. Also had the rocker cover off and replaced the gasket as I suspected this could be the source. It definitely seems to have been where the oil was coming from. The sealing surfaces were wet with oil when I lifted the rocker cover off. Also while the rocker cover was off I thought it best to have the EGR off to clean it. What a mess!

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Finally used the van for what I wanted it for. Fitted my split charger, leisure battery and inverter. Also fitted touran front seats and carpet. Going to fit the middle row seats once I have drilled out a million spot welds
. Got to do this with the van.

@petrev looking good mate, I got my sunstrip put back on recently, much prefer the look from the outside.
It also closes off the hugeee windscreen from the inside a bit.
They are fitted to the outside, well my ones have been anyway

@Swans
Started raining the moment it was fitted
@enk005
Fitted on the inside - Screen tint - Went for one less than Limo-Tint
Has to be on the inside for vehicles with rain/light sensor.

@gazza

You're not going to be able to get to Tatton Park, I believe ?
Shame as it would be great to see your Caddy in the flesh !!!!

Open heart surgery !!!
. .
What the **** !
Waiting for the paint to dry - Hopefully before the rain starts ...
Some time later ... Just finished fitting to the roof as the rain started !
1 hour earlier than AccuWeather had expected (1 and ½ hours ago)
