Friend had them for a few months, to fit to his Mk6, but sadly his car was written off.
Won't say what i paid for them, but it was less than half of what they cost new.
Having them fitted tomorrow morning.

I bought new top mounts as well.

Currently fitted is a set of JOM coilovers that were fitted 5 odd years ago, so the ride will be about 17 000% better with the Bilsteins.

Had them fitted yesterday morning and what a huge difference compared to the JOMs.

Here in South Africa there are plenty roads, epecially in urban areas, where there are road works, potholes of all sizes and depths, speed bumps, everything from smooth ashpahlt to MX track style badness.

The Bilsteins handle evething with zero noises, zero harshness and zero issues.
The JOMs were fine for what they are but spring rates and damping would be more suited to a small race car on a billiard table smooth race track.

The Bilsteins are on another planet with how the ride quality, spring rates and damping is.
I now know why they one of the best....
Much the same as my track bike that went ftom standard SACHS suspension to a K-tech setup. Different planet.

Ride height in front set the same as on the JOMs, dampind adjustment set on 3 of 10 after some driving yesterday.

Finished all the sound deadening and insulation today (except for the recycled plastic bottle stuff). Just about ready to carpet now!

Awesome stuff you guys are doing to your vans. I am still at the basic upgrade stage. Today, I installed the interior light mic for my RNS 315. The provided 2.5m cable is barely long enough for a Caddy. Took several attempts to find the shortest possible route that does not get in the way of interior trim piece fittings. Also installed a GPS antenna, magnetically sticking it on the metal bar under the front right treble speaker. There is not much use for it with the outdated maps but at least I get precise coordinates, just in case.

Swapped key fob from standard to mk8 style, all attached to my 60% size caddy keyring. Fits much nicer in the hand and pocket, no more scraped key and for £3 and some superglue, who wouldn't? Image

Finished off the sill lights today, the MK2 version looks a lot better with the tinted cover to bring it flush with the trim and much prefer the red LEDs, do it all over again on the driver's side now when Iv figured out how to get the bonnet release handle off without breaking anything ImageImageImage
