Finally a MK4 Caddy Owner

Post by kwala »

3 years after pulling out of buying a Caddy that I could not view or test drive due to Covid restrictions, yesterday I picked up a MK4 150 DSG Kombi!

It is pretty sorted and I don't want to do too much too it, but I need to figure out how to build a removable bed platform!

The Wheels in the pics are no longer on it sadly, it has standard maxi alloys, so I'll need to get some new ones ordered!ImageImageImage

Very nice example you have there. The wheels in the first pic suit the van nicely. They have that vw pretoria style to them, which I think works really well on both mk3 and mk4 platforms. Enjoy your new vehicle

Yes, love Pretoria's, but they lightweight and prone to cracking!

I need to find something similar to them to put on!

Smart looking motor, how do you like those seats for comfort on a long trip?

Longest trip I have done is 200 miles and they were great! I've slipped discs in my back twice and have no complaints with them!

Had some work done on the suspension today!

Took the Gas coilovers off and had the stock front shocks put back on, plus Eibach - 60mm springs and Bilstein B8 rear shocks fitted!

What a difference that has made! It's a little higher at the front, but the drive quality is transformed.

I have whiteline antiroll bars, adjustable droplinks to go on next! Can't wait to see what that does to the driveability!
