Cleaned my new van, changed the battery and coded it in, enabled digital speedo and set lane change indicators to 5 flashes instead of three. Then put some alloys on.

Re: What did you do to your van today?
@ Spiderman, how old is your van? I never had to code in my new battery when I fitted one to my 2011 van.
Does yours have start stop or anything?
At least I don’t think it needed coding, I just put it on and it all worked as normal.

Ahh ok, that makes sense. My ancient van doesn’t have that

Re: What did you do to your van today?
My understanding is that in order to optimze charging cycle and battery life time you should code your new battery in. I dont think it has anything to do with start and stop function.
Anyway, here is a youtube "how to" from Ross-Tech

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Changed my front passenger side wing which had horrible rust issues because of a previous repair (the arch had been welded from the inside) to a better used one. Now I can't get my front bumper to slot into the bumper bracket

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Had to top up my coolant, I suspect a small leak somewhere. Not much, just a couple of dL since I last filled before christmas. Any usual culprits I should check? Don't see any puddles anywhere, no white smoke in the exhaust nor residue in the oil so I don't suspect it's the head gasket. Water pump, maybe? I'm at 140km / 86k miles.

Had something very similar, turned out that the plastic inside the oil filter housing had perished. Replaced this and no leaks since.mac12 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2024 9:55 am Had to top up my coolant, I suspect a small leak somewhere. Not much, just a couple of dL since I last filled before christmas.
