Interesting issue with the lowering.

The locating pin is not a pin. But a hot stamping in the spring. Time to make some pins.
Here you can see the upper surface. There is a plastic plug in one. Removed in the other.

That is part of the spring and ain’t moving.

New push fit pins made.
Just need to clean them up and check the fit.
And put some paint on them.

Made a big difference. Fitted to the first hole which is in the same position as the standard shackles. Going to make some others out of some steel tube and old bolts to put in the last holes. Might even do two and join them to help lock them together.

Have it a day off today as the Van decided it did not like keeping the coolant inside.

Problem found.
Image
Had to take the cooler part to get it out.
But it came out.
Image
Now it’s out time to check other parts for condition.

Oooppps

Decided to do some investigation on the worn hose.
Gone through the reinforcement layer. Was not going to last to much longer.
Image
Then I thought I would have a look at the wear block that rests on the alternator.

Yep just a rubber block.
Had some grommets arrive from China.

Do the job.

I used lllparts to get the dimensions and put that into eBay none are exact so went 1mm bigger. Fit fine. Just waiting on some round ones to arrive.
