Installed some slim line wind deflectors tonight.. Had clamped them down for a couple of hours with doors open.. Then taped up as night time and needed to lock up.
Fit is OK.. Not the absolute best..

Used vanlife’s adaptor plates to mount, still a lot of work to do.Damo2k wrote:Mirrors look good mate how did u go about fitting them?

I decided to go this route rather than cutting off the touran mirror method as was a bit worried about getting fitment wrong, reckon you get a better mounting plate fit with the cutting and bonding method, but either way will work.Damo2k wrote:Cheers mate think I might take this route myself.

Incase Gazz doesn't see this question ...Poffe wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2024 2:03 pm Now that picture makes me want to hijack the tread and ask a question about that climatic panel.
I see that you can choose a specific temperature on yours, while mine just have the frost bite/death valley (cool/hot) function.
Is it a straight swap if I find one of those panels (for an MK3) or do you need the 2-zone climatic ac?
btw, your steering wheel looks fantastic!
Upgrade is for Normal boring manual AC not Climatronic.
True Climatic semi-auto AC panel required - Need the version with the same button combo as your current panel.
Also need 2 little sensors and appropriate wiring.

I was going to say that a Scirocco R 3D Colour Cluster would look great with that wheel, but then you would have blue needles not red !

Sorry mate no I missed that!
And a new colour cluster is on the list, was debating the blue needles but have to keep them red really! , im getting a few more bits done in November so it has to wait a while for the bank balance to recover!
