Good evening all, 1st proper post so please be gentle
I have looked at the destructions supplied but cannot see anything re the axle flip and supplied brackets
K, i have a Caddy and looking to do the axle flip when fitting the coilover kit
I have purchased a Maxpeedingrods kit and for the rear i have the x2 plates that come with the kit, but also have x4 long bolts??
Are the bolts for the rear set up?
Re the rear set up do you just use the original u bolts and top plate (which would now be on the bottom of the leaf spring) along with the supplied plates?
On the original set up there are a couple of u plates welded to the axle, do these need to be removed?
Does anyone have a pic of this kit installed on there Caddy they could share?
Hope the above makes sense and thanks in advance for any info

Re: Maxpeedingrods coilovers and axle swap
welcome to the forum buddy,
the longer bolts will replace the U bolts which you are currently running, if you do a google search for a vw caddy axle flip there are a lot of pics to give you a better idea on it all. Good luck with it also

Re: Maxpeedingrods coilovers and axle swap
k thx for the responses so far
@jase14
Watched the Dan Chamber vid re the axle flip where he had a similar plate setup to you
The Maxpeedingrods kit only comes with 1 plate as per pic in the link
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/365218468126 ... 3Bchoc%3A2
I think i need to do the following
swap axle and leaf spring positions
swap round the locator pin/nipple do dar on leaf spring
put plate from kit between axle and leaf spring
then reverse and re use U bolts
And
Fit the plate originally from caddy to the underside of the leaf spring to sandwich it all up

You cant re use the original U-Bolts when you are using the Axle Flip Kit.
With Jase's Picture thats the way you have to go with the Axle Flip Kit. If you need the extra Block it depends if your axle is offset or straight when you did the Job.
Otherwise rework your axle and weld the Plates to the other side (some How To on the Internet) .. then you only need the rear Hangers.
