Ok, got a few things done today, more tomorrow.

Fitted the iSpeed wind deflectors

Next, started putting in my AutoVox wireless camera system

Comes with plug in, and a hardwire kit.

Removed the mirror, mounted the wireless monitor on the mirror stalk ball, superb. Still to fit the camera itself and splice into the reverse lights. I have relays and a power box so may fit that too so I have a low current trigger to the other devices since I also have a radar park assist system to fit if I decide to use both.

The power box is for a boat, has a bank of switches and 12v sockets so the intention is to fit it to the rear and find a live main supply to use for it to distribute as required for rear lights, camera, reversing radar unit etc. One circuit I'll reserve for triggering from the reverse lights.

Tomorrow I'm doing the rear limo tints and wiper delete among other things.

Also ordered 5mm ply pre cut plates for the bulkhead grilles, going to carpet the cabin side and mat-black the edges and rear face.

Have a white gloss wiper delete kit with a neoprene seal, and carpet to do the rear floor - going to carpet the sides and fit LED down lights in the rear roof panel after carpeting that too.

Tried to fit the Ultinon LEDs in the DRLs but they are twin filament brake & tail bulbs so will use the Ultinons in the reverse lights and get different ones for the DRLs. I also have to collect LEDs for the rear number plate lights (Integrated units)

Also ordered black Turtle roof rails from DSL for him, to be fitted next week when they arrive.

(My wife names my vans, this one is Vinny and he's a boy. Her car is a girl, a Countryman All4, called Mags....)

Not that it's a huge issue to stick regular bulbs in for the MOT of course.
Sorry, I just saw your message. The van had them on already when I bought it but you can get them on Amazon, at least here in France.
As far as I know they're legal and I've passed several french MOT's with them. Also I don't think I'm blinding people. They would definitely let me know if I were.

Also, I read a comment from someone who said he/she was very disappointed with them. I haven't actually tried anything other than factory halogens and I think these are a big upgrade.

Did you test this rear camera ? Can you give some opinion about it ?

I've tested it on the bench, it works perfectly and links up instantly to the monitor when the camera is powered up, and the picture is superb.

Still to mount and wire the camera, I've been fitting the roof rails and the front privacy panels on the partition.

So the camera from this AutoVox kit is way too big and obscures the numberplate so it's a bust. Next plan is to fit the mirror monitor I have, over the internal mirror and use a different (smaller) camera. I have a wireless link kit which sends any camera to any monitor or input device which saves running cables through the van. Might get a brake light camera and fit that if I can find a good quality one. Dynamic Sounds have one which looks really good but I grudge paying £90 for a brake light camera...

Ok, so the video signal is wireless. 2.4ghz between a little transmitter and receiver pair. Tiny little things so easy to conceal inside the rear door panel and above the windscreen or behind the stereo.

Each end needs power and the camera plugs into the transmitter and the receiver plugs into the monitor, whether it's a stereo, mirror monitor etc as long as it has the yellow RCA plug or socket for video composite IN then this works with it.

The transmitter even powers the camera itself so only one connection to 12v power is required at the rear end (use a relay with a diode from Halfords and switch a permanent or ignition live as before) to the transmitter and the camera plugs into it.

Here's a link, just under a tenner https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/364016035412 ... media=COPY

Fantastic gadget and video quality is superb, super fast to switch on too. No delay. And no wires need to run through the van to the front from the back.
