New bumper from GTi Kris, painted, wrapped and fitted.
Same as the previous one but the old one had terrible fitment.
Super happy with the fitment of this one. Absolutely spot on.
Cherry on the cake is the new hybrid honeycomb grill (also from Kris) but I'll be honest needed ALOT of work until I was happy with it.
Bodyshop did a great job with it, smooth as glass now.
Completely changes the front end and adds a touch more "unique-ness" to the van, while matching the honeycomb in the bumper ImageImageImageImageImage

Brake job. Rear pads and rotors.

Right hand side caliper was completely spent. Boot was stuck to the piston and tore upon rewinding. Such a shame as everything had been going smooth up to that point. Even got the super seized caliper bracket bolts out. Can't be arsed doing a piston repair, so might as well just replace the entire thing. I'm having a hard time sorting out the PR-codes and thus finding the correct caliper. If you have any ideas which PR code is fitting for my caddy (2012, 75kW / 102bhp, 1.6tdi), please let me know.
I've put a 272x10mm rotor on it, and matched it with the appropriate pads (2K5698451) which are identical to the old ones.

These point me to the 1ZA pr code.

I didn’t do it but a garage did. 2 new suspension springs.

This van costs me a fortune!

Sat around for 5+ hours waiting for a tow truck

Luckily parked in the shade.

Engine cranks, but misfires and stops !

Not really sure ??

After 6 hours sitting around (I tried it every hour just incase) I tried it one last time and ... It started !??!

Couple of odd things still wrong - Fuel gauge read empty (0 miles range) but after a 12 mile drive home it said it was in the red and 25 miles range - From memory of where the gauge should be it is still reading low !
Also strangely, the right powered window now doesn't do auto up/down, and doesn't close on the key lock button press+hold.

? Fuel sender issues ?

No idea really :?:

@Jase14 340mm mate, and honestly the old bumper went in the skip! It was so terribly bodged up by the guy who I asked to "fix" it.. it would of been unfair to sell or even give it away in that state

I had the resistor in stock but im pretty sure you can find them easily.

connect a wire to the brown/green wire behind the factory switch in the door, run it to the rear with another wire grounded to one of the dashboard mounting points behind the drivers end panel, connect to the switch and voila!

(i can’t remember which way around the ground and ground w/resistor go on the switch, if the unlock button locks it just swap them around)

if you use the switch i used then pin 2 connects to the brown/green then pins 1 & 4 are the ground/ ground w/resistor.
