New to the caddy scene and need help.

Hi all I would be much appreciated if anyone of you could help me.. I’ve just brought a 1.9 2004 caddy and I’ve got home and it doesn’t want to go into reverse. I tried a fair few times then it went in does this mean new box or would it be the selector. Many thanks new caddy guy

This points straight to the gearbox, particularly if the seller failed to disclose it. It’s not uncommon. I’ve seen the same thing happen to a friend. Very unlucky. Hopefully you can pick up a new box handy.
