Caddy (2004) - worth repairing? Opinion appreciated.

Hello, forum members.
I check this forum from time to time throughout the years, and your advice and examples have been very helpful to me.

I’m now facing a big dilemma and would appreciate your advice or recommendations. In 2004 I bought Caddy Mk3, 2.0 SDI (Life) and I drove with it 260k kilometers, first and only owner. Car still runs great and I use it every day. But through the years there are some bigger and minor issues now about interior/exterior.
The car would need to be repainted, since bonnet has many damages from rocks and there are rusty sills and fenders. Also it will need to have the rear bumper replaced, the steering wheel is peeling off, the fabric on the inner side of doors started falling apart, and driver's seat would need a repair or replacement since some broken metal (spring?) is pressing under the seat. Also, for many years now I have some strange foggy thing around sliding door window holder, between black metal and glass and also I would like to fix that if possible. And there are some cosmetics defect on main light switch and dashboard.
I haven’t checked how much each individual item would cost, but I’d probably have to invest around 6–8k Euros (5-7k Pounds) into the car to return back glory from its best days. Despite all these issues, car still looks great for its age and many people do not believe me it is over 20 years old.
As I see, there are not many Mk3 from 2004 left on the road and this also says to me it is probably time to stop spending on repairs.

Now, what to do... Is it worth to repair this kind of car or is it time to get rid of it?

I'd move on if I were you. Then again I wouldn't have a vehicle over 10 years old, if I could avoid it. I hate rust so I'd run a mile if it were me and get something newer. Just my personal view of course but you did ask lol.

Mine turns 11 this year and is beginning to show a few tiny bubbles here and there, but is immaculate otherwise so I'm going to tidy those up and it's time to move on, probably next year if I can find a nice T6 transporter that's not too dear.
