For me this is one of those few great threads you get on each forum. It's that crazy build that I could only dream of doing but at the same time, if you read carefully there's simple mods that any one on any budget can do and achieve. Not to mention you've been good enough to include part numbers,

Keep it up, Joe :)

Some times you stumble across real gems on forums this is one of them. Taken it to another level ! Nice to see some one so friendly to questions. Can't wait to see the next stage.

Unfortunately no. Going to chase someone up this week which is holding up the rest of it and then start talking with the main companies involved to see what sort of timeframe they're working to. Would like to get it entered into a show this summer but that's fast approaching. I keep telling myself it will be worth it in the end but the stress is starting to get to me.

I bet it's never easy trying to organise specialists custom work, and they're never next door to each other either are they.... : , there's plenty of shows Dan, I'm sure you'll make a few, it'll be worth the wait definitely mate, I'm hopefully going to early edition in a couple of weeks mate, if you go come over and say hi :D

Early Edition was the one I wanted to get it to but that's not going to happen! It's as much the time everything seems to take that's stressing me out. The more it's delayed, the increased chance someone is going to either copy it or beat me to a mod. It's also driving me a bit insane that I can't reveal bits on here for the same reason!

Totally understand about been beaten to a mod Dan, but the good thing about caddy's is that the majority of people actually use them as a van......  , when I first tried my 20x9" splits on back In October I thought they'd be no one silly enough to put 20x9" on a caddy, but by April when I put a pic up I was told of 2 others.... I'm pretty sure by the standard your going to you'll be safe enough mate. Looking forward to seeing it bud

Early in the thread you fitted a passat engine cover did this need any mods or direct fit?

Was it from a Passat?! Can't remember!! No mods other than fitting the ball screws that the cover clips into. My Caddy didn't have them but some people said theirs did so worth checking. Not expensive from VW.
