Been plugging away with the compressor/tank assembly, waiting on a couple of fittings that are on back order for the tank ends so the reducers will have to do for now.
I’ve used dual Grinds competition compressors (apparently they are the quietest available, but we’ll see), installed within a 30x30x20 enclosure, 3 gallon MOA seamless tank, twin Airlift auto drain water traps on the tank feed lines (additional manual water trap on valve block feed to be installed) and stainless fitting throughout. The water traps are installed onto 90 degree banjo bulkheads so I can swivel them out the way to get access to the plate fixings. The aluminium plate is wrapped to help keep the weather off it, the side with the copper pipes on will be hidden (in between plate and van floor) so the awful overlaps around the edge won’t be visible.

I absolutely love the work that's gone into just this plate alone. Forget all the other show stopper jobs on this van, this is just beyond the finest work out there right now.

Wow what a compliment, thanks a lot mate. Being a daily used van I just want it to be as reliable as possible, so everything is done with this in mind.

Totally agree with @Doc and others that your work is perfectionism at it’s best! Your skills just sets the bar that all of us on this forum can learn, admire and aspire to mate! Amazing, and a modest top gent too

That looks a quality build. Your attention to detail is unreal and always took to the next level when executed

Some more time on the van; changed the fittings on the front leader hoses to tidy the bulkhead arrangement up a bit, got the compressor/tank assembly mounted, front struts piped, wiring terminated at fuse box B and ran through the van. As I want the system completely hidden all pipes are ran through the van and I’ve utilised the original relay mount under the fuse box to mount the compressor relay and fuses.
Also made a start refitting the interior including making a housing for the controller, again hidden away under the armrest in the storage compartment; but removable so I can still get at all the crap I keep in there.

Wait!
Where's the cable tied bundle of excess wiring we see on all the other air installations?

People have paid a lot of money to get half the job your putting together right here. Top marks for you buddy.

I’m feeling left out now, perhaps I should bundle some up to keep in the glovebox?
Cheers mate.

I like the hidden look of the tank and compressor and also the hidden controller!!

This is looking like a cracking build and I hope to see it in the flesh one day
