Yeah been a member about 9-10 years. Was lovely until they started destroying it to put HS2 through it

Yes I did hear that was a potential casualty of this white elephant in the room. Nick helleuer i believe was protesting against it and rightly so.

Done nothing to my van recently except work out of it. Did finally get my print from PyeCandy and hung it in my games room above the TV. It’s almost a year since I first commissioned this but with his waiting list being quite long, then when he had almost completed it lockdown happened which meant his printing company were closed it was a long wait. He’s done a lovely job though so we’ll worth it.

Used my stitches+steel awning for the first time today. Got fed up of having all my equipment soaking wet every time it rains. It’s not made for a caddy, it’s for a transporter but I slightly modified it so it fits well enough to do the job now.

Great thread and absolutely stunning van! Love the awning.. I was thinking of making something like that myself for when I’m out on the bike.. didn’t realise they were an actual thing!! 😂

Oh wow!!! Just joined and come across this build. The wheels are great, but I didn’t realise the colour until now. Pretty sure I had the same colour on my old MK1 Astra GTE project! Think it came from a VW Corrado. Kinda wish I’d gone for that colour now, oh well :-)

WHAT A VAN @Barbel330 it took me nearly 3hrs to read through this thread last night. Quality colour, I have my T5 in that colour.

Just one little question atm, what usb port is in your cigarette lighter?? Found out today on a 10hr road trip that either my cigarette lighter don't work or the USB plug for it is junk. So during this little lockdown (for us in Wales) I'll be getting as many jobs done as I can and a new usb port is on that list.

Cheers mate.

I have replaced the factory cigarette lighter completely with a twin usb jobby. It’s only a cheap eBay thing but it lights up red the same as the rest of my interior dash lighting and has a black rubber cap on it so pretty much disappears into the background when not in use.
