Got the sides carpeted today! Looks well but there's definitely a few minor creases towards the bottom of both wheel wells. I spent about an hour fitting the first side until I realised I'd glued the wrong side of the carpet to the metal - amateur hour.

Also realised when I eventually refit the bulkhead trims there'll be a small corner of uncarpeted metal, will eventually get round to that...

Slapped some sound deadening all over the floor aswell, scrubbed up the plastic trims in the rear and refit..

Should probably get out in the sun rather than spend my whole holiday working on the van 😜

Have sewn together the cushions and built 2 of the 3 units ... have a few weeks off after this week to make more progress ...ImageImage

Are you able to fit a dash from any touran between 2004 - 2010?

Started stripping out for rear seat conversion today…. Seems pretty easy process!

Shortest system I've ever made, only 2 metres flexi to tail. Shame about my crappy stainless welding (thank goodness for angle grinders) but the onset of Parkinsons makes my hands shake :lol:

Tried to sort more wiring issues, not going well ,try again later hopefully auto electrician will take a look soon fingers crossed

Fitted Audi 8v vents, in place of the A3 S-line ones….perfect fit and with the adaptors, perfect air flow👍
Now just need the air con pumped up

Removed the roofrack and sealed the bolt holes with sikaflex. Went camping on Wednesday and found a dribble of a leak down my freshly carpeted side! Hopefully sorted now...

Any tips or tricks to getting the vents out? I'm using this guide https://www.caddy2k.com/forum/viewtopic ... ts#p395446 but had no luck, I don't know if I'm not prying the bottom enough but don't want to snap anything. I've only had my vents a year so would be nice to get them in :lol:
