Removed the lower side trim in the back of my caddy maxi life, in a first step to convert it to a camper.
At first I thought I'd keep the top side, top, and bottom trim, but now I'm thinking I should only keep the bottom and remove the rest to add insulation. The bottom already seems to be insulating.

What am I supposed to do with all this plastic now? Is there a market for these parts or should I just trash them?

I'm using this guide https://www.caddy2k.com/forum/viewtopic ... ts#p395446 but had no luck, I don't know if I'm not prying the bottom enough but don't want to snap anything. I've only had my vents a year so would be nice to get them in

Did I manage to get a vent out?yes. Did I snap something?yes. Fml. I dont think I'm putting the vent is either i dont think it looks right
That guide is correct, from what I remember…. I took the originals out ages ago, and fitted some from an sline A3. Poke the top clip before removing from the bottom. Once you get the first one, it’s clear what you have to do.

You can just about see the original vent ‘ring’ that clips in on this picture….the S-line vents were slightly smaller, so I had to butcher the original ring to act as a collar…..

Mate, what’s that engine cover off?
Mines 1.9 BLS looks like it’ll fit.

If the smaller vents are used, you need to cut the actual part that clips in, to form a ring or border for the vents to sit in…..

You can just make out what I mean in this photo…..

And why the hell do my photos appear 90 degrees out?

I bought an adapter kit off ebay that has rings to bridge the gap and make them fit properly, I just don't like how they protrude the dash board so didn't bother trying the kit

Fitted under tray and bonnet insulation.

What a pain fitting the under tray is when you don’t want to lift the van.

Gave in and got the trolley jack out.

Looks finished now it has them fitted.

Engine cover fitted last week.
