@Fishermansfriend
@gazza31112
Thanks fellas!
It’s still on the embarrassingly high standard suspension, so I almost deserve it

It's nice to find a door that slides well!
And I protected the body because I left the wheel broken for several months and the steel was well attacked.
Now, it's gone for a few year.
On the other hand, when the storekeeper vag told me the price of 111€ (~100£), I ran away!! I finally took on Ali so to see in the long term…

@Raph71
Never thought of AliExpress. I bought one full price and used it as a template to make another in work.

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Not today but 6 days ago I managed to bump into someone. 38 years old and completely switched off and nudged a meriva. Felt so disgusted with myself having been nearly 20years since I last had an accident.
No one hurt (was less than 10mph) and barely any damage to the other car.
Had a real rough 6 months and thought I was over all this bad luck then this happened.
Luckily the damage looks worse than what it actually is. The top of my bumper/grill area is what’s taken the worst, which also meant it bent the lock carrier bracket back, which broke the front panel and a couple of other trims.

So. I didn’t want to wait around.

Stripped the damaged parts down to make a list of what’s needed. Lock carrier upper grill bonnet (don’t think this was actually needed in the end) a couple of brackets and guides.
Also replaced the old crumbling air con rad while I was there.

Re: What did you do to your van today?

So all repaired and back together. Actually changed the style of the new grill a little. Got rid of the chrome and paint the lower chrome for the grill in body colour. Not sure on it really so will see how I feel.
Still having problems with KLM paint code. I must have had 8-10 spectro and numerous different brands mixed and none are close enough. So being fed up with the constant colour issue I’m going to re spray it and do a complete colour change.
Just got to think and see what looks nice. Would like something a little different but staying within the Vw Audi colour range

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Glad no one was hurt
Well apart from ego

The bumper took the damage and luckily no panel or anything worse
But glad your OK & the other person i
And hey presto, it's all back together in one piece & looking like new again, well better than new
Nice work
If your planning a colour change, are u talking the whole van ?

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Yep the whole van. Inside and out. Would probably be better for me to paint the engine bay at a later date in something like satin black 2k

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Fair play on the quick remedy @Dislexicdonkey, seems we’ve both had a tough time lately!
Are they 18” B12s? Been thinking about getting a set; a classic design which looks good on a lot of different vehicles.
Love some of the Compomotives, but that’s not happening realistically.
Keep us posted on the colour change
