Bbcars
There are loads of threads in the members section talking about the scuttle pad
This gets clogged up with debris and then causes the flooding inside the foot wells
Have a look into this first as it may be your problem / answer
Hope that helps

Fingers crossed it holds up to some usage over the coming months / years
How much did u pay for the Ali option ?
I doubt the piece will last 15 years like the original one! Must see! But Vw really abuses certain price-level parts! Image On the other hand, I threw away the broken part and I regret it because the good plan would have been to take the wheel out of service with an extractor and go to a bearing specialist to replace the defective part with a quality model. It would have cost 2-3€ and the repair would have lasted over time without worry, but I thought about it too late! Image If not, here is the link for Ali express, if anyone is interested:

Which ones are these?
Do they reduce wind noise at all?

@ VanLife, if anything they increase wind noise mate. They’re just handy if you have the window down a centimetre or two as they stop water coming in if it’s raining.

Managed to catch a pothole and damaged the tyre. Oh, the joys of motoring on today's roads.
Can I be bothered to try and claim from the local council? Not sure I've got the strength.

Finally got the scratch out the side of my van after it got keyed the other week. I’d say it’s 95% gone and only very slightly noticeable from up close at certain angles.

I went to town on it armed with the finest 3000 grit, Halfords rubbing compound, some 15yr old Wilko paint restorer and cloths.

Looked like shit after my first few attempts but I persevered today in the bright sun until I was happy; then finished with some Auto Glym SRP.

Relieved my very amateurish approach worked, and I haven’t got to pay out for someone to sort it. Blood pressure has returned to normal :)
