There’s clips under the trim you need to push each one in as you pull it up as theres hidden clips that you can’t push you don’t need any trim tools or need to take the grill off and I found it easier to start from the head light and work in towards the badge . It only takes 10 minutes to do bud.

Re: What did you do to your van today?
I had this a few years back. Stopped off with the other half at a certain chain of coffee shops and had to bump half up on the island in the car park. The Caddy was all spangly clean plus with it leaning slightly over on the island the thing looked more lowered than it actually is. Next thing we looks out the window and there is some guy doing selfies in front the Caddy.

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Bought a bit of a sh1t box a couple of weeks back but it’s mechanically in good shape.
So far I’ve rebuilt the headlights, put 18” smoothie wheels on and carpeted the rear. It’s booked in for a respray in two weeks and lowering the week after that. I’m going stealthy and clean with this one…
Will post up some before and after photos ones it’s done

The tyres came with the wheels ..like new !! Not planning on weighing the van down too much and with the 1.6 diesel I don't think the upper speed limit will be an issuestu_b wrote:Nice wheels

Re: What did you do to your van today?
92 is not enough for a maxi rear, 93 or over is correct for the maxi rear axel. Just be aware the van should fail its mot with a 92 load rate on the rear.

Mmm right I'll have a look at that .. even if the caddy is registered as a camper and wont have that kind of weigh in ?

all that matters is the Gross Vehicle weight on the V5, it's irrelevant whether it's at capacity.Bluemooner wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 7:40 pm Mmm right I'll have a look at that .. even if the caddy is registered as a camper and wont have that kind of weigh in ?
The only times these things matter if you are in a bad accident. is it worth saving a few quid on tyres, or getting a certain 'look', to risk ending up uninsured and facing jailtime??

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Hey bluemooner
Sorry man, didn't mean to throw u under the bus !!
I am new to all this Caddy stuff
Regardless, the wheels look schmick
Seems they do need to be higher rated ..
Question is, do they make that same wheel / profile brand etc in a 93+ ?
Also, can the 92Y be used on the front ? If so, they can be a spare pair and just need to change the rear
Hope it all works out

Re: What did you do to your van today?
No don't worry ..I'm new to this and all advice welcome and appreciated.. the tyres were virtually new so really I could sell those and get the higher rated tyres .. the guys that I bought the wheels /tyres off are the guys that did the powder coating and are really on the ball .the wheels are off a Skoda Octavia so should be able to track down correct tyres for the caddy maxi

Re: What did you do to your van today?
I'm sure they'll probably do a straight swap over (maybe a few extra squid) as they can sell them over n over again while u get the right load rating
Fingers crossed

There will be more options for 93 if you go up to 235 wide. I run a 235/40/18

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Check the Type Plate for rear axle weight
Some are plated at 1250Kg (apparently) which would be just inside 92 Rating (1260/630)
