Risky business (for "rear lid" model owners)... The shape of the light the Polish guy fitted looks like the same shape as the old light. The "rear lid" light is a different shape in the new model (see above). So would the "wing door" light fit the "rear lid" model? Hard to say without trying. The current model uses different lights for "rear lid" and "wing door" variants. Have to wait and see, the local dealer says factory isn't producing them yet anyway (the lights as parts that is)...

I also posted screenshots from etka for both wing and tailgate versions above if anyone is looking
It's gonna be happy days or a lot of us will end up with taillights that don't fit our cars LOL.

Are they LED? Etka describes them as 5w and 21w 'longlife' bulbs which is the same description given to the bulbs in early Caddys.

I've never had an MOT failure for no reflectors on my cars before. Had aftermarket blue tinted ones on a Golf made by Hella, and they had reflectors in the box that had to be fitted, which I never did. Not once did it come up as an advisory.

I didn't think they were LED either. If you look at the response time of the lights, they certainly don't light up and switch off instantly.
It's a shame that on both barn door versions the reflectors are intermixed with the light panels themselves. You don't get the contrast when the lights are switched off, but that's just me being fussy. I'm amazed they fit.

My VW guy told me they are in Kassel, Germany and should be on Friday or Monday. That's for my lhd tinted model.
As I understood well You need to swap one pin with another. Elsawin shows colors of wires in the plug. If You push brake and reversing light will come up You know what should be swaped;)
