Gutted to see that @gazza31112. It’s always a shame when our prized vans get damaged.
I got a quote for £250 today to respray the whole bumper.

Actually not that hard. I did some welding this past weekend on the wheelhousing, both sides. Just to keep the plastic from cracking more than it already had.gazza31112 wrote:Think it's time to learn how to plastic weld! Have to try and cut and fill in the wrap as well because there's no way I'm paying to get the whole bumper rewrapped, as it looks like I'll have to get the trim resprayed.

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Test fitted this lovely half-leather Golf mk7 driver's seat. It is an ergoActive which means it has the full Audi S-Line adjustment (incl. tilt and extendable thigh support) and an underwhelming massage feature. It fits like a glove after removing the Touran base side plastic. I even managed to get the backrest seat heating to work by using my old seat wiring loom and plugging in two of its connectors. Next thing to do is change the interior colour to anthracite and swap in some black leather lined Touran door cards.

New injector on a 1.6tdi, it shouldn’t be a shock to any of us.

My new to me 2018 1.0 TSi Trendline
Finally got correct builds for my Sidelights/DRLs

Pic for comparison

and laughed at how small the 1.0 engine is.

Had the dreaded call from the garage, yep it's another injector, that's 3 in the last 5 months. Really starting to hate the cost of these things to be fitted.

I can imagine…
1.6 TDI? Really starting to think that I made a poor choice when I bought my 1.6… although it has only run for 65000km since 2013.07

@Poffe I'd had a good run as it's been 6 years since I'd last had to have one replaced

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Slowly getting there with my anthracite front part of the interior idea. Yesterday, I wired in the ergoActive seat electronics (admittedly, I do enjoy the massage with back heating) and mk7 airbag plugs. Interesting to note that the heating on the passenger seat works fully (backrest and buns) with my old wiring loom yet that's not the case with the driver's seat which just has the back heat up.
Today, I fitted a black leather Touran passenger door card with a warning light. Not fun cutting it up with a mini angle grinder to fit the Caddy, but the result is worth it. Working on the driver's side door card now and praying for some non-terrible weather and daylight to fit it.

How easy were they to wire in?
I was offered a pair of ergoComfort seats from Passat today for a reasonable price. They are quite tempting. But only if I can get them to work as intended.

Re: What did you do to your van today?
Thanks. Relatively easy as mine is a manual seat with electric lumbar support. The module under driver's seat just needed 12V (pin no. 1 in a 2015 Golf mk7 floor connector) and a ground (pin no. 5). I ran a 1.0 mm thick wire to a free slot in the interior fuse box and the ground to the grounding point at the door sill. AFAIK, many ErgoComfort seats are fully electric with a memory function so they have to talk to the BCM which is much more complicated. If you have prior experience adding pins to the CECM/BCM and fuse box, coding in VCDS, then you should be fine.
