Hi, all tho I signed up for to this forum about 10 years ago, I’ve never posted. Bit rubbish with tech etc. but as I have now done quite a bit with my van, would b good to get involved. So have had my van fully painted and have now going through the pain of putting it back together. So have been doin things like fitting bumpers (a million times

), modifying parking sensors so I can disconnect them to remove bumper, putting interior back together, made custom mirrors, split my lights and painted them black, so much more as well, hard to find the time, but u just have to make the time and get out there even if it’s an hour. Going van will b ready for the road early next year, maybe even ultimate dubs. Then I will b looking into TFSi swap.

@Norcaddymk4 hi mate, it wasn't cheap to get put in, let's say that! Because of the emulator needed to get it working.
Everything works apart from the heating,
Getting that to work is a whole other ball game!!!

Touran door cards installed, everything working and fitting well, also a speaker upgrade, not pretty but a big improvement.

Nice work is the handle easy to fit? Plan on doing one myself was going to do lanyard trick but think proper handle looks a lot better

Pretty much. All the fixing points are there and you only have to cut the opening for the handle.
Partnumbers are:

3x Screw 1N90940001

Did a modification with no turning back today. Those are always a little bit scarier.
Installed a semi flexible solar panel on the roof.
Chose a panel with the cable coming out on the back of the panel for a neater installation. Still had to make a hole in the roof for it.

Busy weekend on the van. Had the glass fitted few weekends ago, so first job I got the aerial bolted and connected back up, and roof liner etc. then decide to have a little drive up the road, it’s been off the road 5 years, and managed to blow a pipe off, so parked it back up and changed jobs to a little paint work, and got some of my badges painted up. Last job of the weekend was to modify the rear arch add on piece for the bumper (like the caddy alltrack). As I have a hybrid bumper it is deeper that the standard one, so needed to extend this piece to fit. So got it sized up, hot stables and plastic welded to fix the two pieces together, then filled and 2k primed. So all in all a good weekends work

Todays job were more like of the cosmetic kind. Reupholster the inner roof with more of the foam backed suede fabric. The inner roof comes from a caddy maxi life -16.

Finally got my newly reupholstered suede head liner in the car. 8/9 clips snapped in nicely with some persuasion. The 9th I probably will have to try to exchange. My girlfriend is very happy not having it in the living room anymore.
