I did what most people do with a new purchase -
Make a list of what needs doing
Make that list a little longer
Remove all POs stickers
Started buying stuff

I ordered all inspection parts, including all belts, as well as some spare parts.

Made a custom innerpanel in order to improve the carpet lining over the wheel arc insulation. So far only done the LH side. Will fit this first and evaluate before doing RH side

Got my hands on a set of MK4 Rear lights. Started searching what was needed repinning wise and in the end I came up with this:
(Mind you, i have a LHD van)
At first, all the functions worked, but there were still some fields that didn’t work. But it turned out to be broken bulbs, had nothing to do with the pinning or coding.
Now, how do I get rid of the broken bulb light on the dashboard? From DTVs video I thought the coding would be an easy fix. But in regular fashion when I’m doing something I have a bit of bad luck. Seems like Caddy’s 2010-2015 have a different BCM (09 Central Electric) than pre facelift. Just Ross tech VCDS doesn’t seem to cut it. Any suggestions on what to do?

It seems you can't get rid of the bulb error with VCDS or Obdeleven. Only VCP can do it (Vag Can Pro) and that will ONLY run on Windows 7x32 bit and nothing else (believe me I've tried) and is also dangerously powerful.
You need the kit from AliExpress with the license dongle and then need to watch the videos on installation. Antivirus goes mental when you try to install it, takes nerves of steel and not on a machine you use for internet banking for example.
It does not work in a virtual machine, or windows 10 or 11.

Well ...
Last week it was wheel speed sensors and ABS plug issues...
And now - Last night the alarm kept going off all the time and I discovered that the battery was almost flat because the coolant fans were going on and off randomly !
Disconnected the battery in order to get some sleep. Reconnected this morning and charged it, and the fans are still turning on full blast randomly.
No idea what could be causing it ?
Any ideas welcome

Ah ok, I'd check for fault codes on the controllers then, engine ECU etc and look for water ingress and bad wiring. The ECU being under the scuttle tray can get wet or corroded. Plugs etc.
Disconnect the battery before pulling the ECU plugs off.

Had a quick check and all fault codes are the normal ones for low battery levels.
Charged the battery and seems normal again
Time will tell ...
